СAccording to Wikipedia this place was mentioned for the first time in 1471 as Lazarevschyna; Then it belonged to a Kiev manager named Khodiki. This name is believed, to take its origin from a certain monk and beekeeper, named Lazar. The modern name of the area has existed since 1803 - it was when the first Kiev Vicar, Bishop Theophan (Shiyanov), settled here and he was given a plot of land for improvement.
In 1919 this territory functioned as the suburban Soviet state farm, in 1972 Feofaniya tract was declared a park, from 1992 the territory was given the status of a government designated park, which belongs to the "Feofaniya" conservatory of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine.
Point 1 So, the park starts with a wonderful well-groomed alley, a pleasant green lawn, oaks, beautiful plants, benches and magnificent views of the cascade of lakes and the monastery.
In the middle of the alley you can take the right turn and enter the forest, this is the shortest way to the lower, 5-th lake. This lake is the largest and the most remoted from the main part of the park.
